Can I do this? May Readathon!

May is my birthday month, so I thought I would do something fun. A YouTuber that I love to watch is having a reading challenge that combines two of my hobbies, cooking and reading. While you don’t actually need to cook anything, I think it would be fun to include that. So every time I finish a book, I pick one of the prompts and find a recipe that matches it.
What’s the reading challenge, you ask? Well, it’s the “Ghosty Goober Readathon.” The reason I chose this readathon is that it’s only a month long, and the creators have put so much thought into it. There’s a whole YouTube video on it, and also a printout for you to reference. I tend to print everything out and keep it where I can see it, basically every day… My nightstand. I never join the Discord channel and just try to do it myself, but if that’s what you need, you can join their online group to hold you accountable and give you book recs.
While I still haven’t finished planning my May TBR, I like that the creators have included their own TBRs in the printouts. So it’s fun to see what they plan to read and see if they actually do. I have started to find that I am not good at actually following my TBR, but I am better at setting a goal to read, like, ten books as I go. I also have so many advanced reader copies that I need to read, so I really should focus on those.
So I figured that I would share this before the month of May if anyone is interested in joining in. I am also thinking about having an advanced reader give-away for people who talk to me about this readathon. Since I do have some physical ones…. Like a lot and I want to share! If I do this, then I will also include a Hearthside Books tote, a Dewey sicker, and 3-4 advanced reader copies. So, stay tuned for my April wrap-up and May TBR! That will be the post where I announce the giveaway if I do.
