Char Reads Assistant To The Villain

People need jobs like they need water. Sometimes, it’s to help your family out, and other times, it’s because you need to be able to take care of yourself. Either way, you need a job. In Hannah Nicole Maehrer’s book Assistant to the Villain,  Evie Sage needs a job to care for her family. She hopes to keep her little sister in school and her sick father comfortable.

Evie Sage needs a job. So, after a run-in with the notorious “Villain,” she somehow gets a job as his assistant. The worst part about all this is she likes the job of working for a man who is evil for a living. She makes friends with the healer and the dragon tamer. She even has an office rival. What more could a ray of sunshine need? Well, a handsome boss who might also have feelings for her. So when the king starts sending people to attack the Villain, Evie gets mixed up in all the madness. Can she save the Villain and herself?

I wonder why I waited too long to read this book. This story is like a once-in-a-time meeting at the office, and I just knew that I should have picked up the book, but no. I had to stare at it for months, putting it off, and now that I’ve read it, I can tell you that I loved this book! The characters were funny and witty. Kingsly is my favorite, but Blade is also close. I want Tristan and Evie’s love story to keep going! There’s not much I could say about this book; I loved every second of it and enjoyed that atmosphere. Thankfully, I don’t have to wait long! The second book just came out, so I look forward to a review of the next book!
