Did Char love ‘Puck and Prejudice?’

What happens when you mix a classic with hockey? Well, you get a book that is so adorably written that even the classic will swoon. ‘Puck and Prejudice,’ By Lia Riley, is just that. It has the ‘Pride and Prejudice’ regency and all the steam and hockey as ‘Ice Breaker.’ Who could ask for more?

Can she help fall in love with this man as she tries to find a way to send him back to his time?

We all know that I am not one to shy away from romance and can’t help but love it, but I was skeptical when I read this book. Pride and Prejudice is a classic, and I have read many retellings. So when I saw this one and they tried to add hockey, I was a little worried. Hockey was not around in the Regency era. Well, as far as I know. However, I felt like Lia Riley did a fantastic job blending the two different eras. I loved that Lizzy was friends with Jane Austin. I enjoyed Lizzy’s character so much. Plus, the scenes with her reading naughty books were hilarious! I loved the time-traveling theme. It could have been poorly done, but I felt it was a good addition to this book. I hated the ending, though. I love that Lizzy was able to experience both worlds but ugh. When you read, you’ll understand what I mean. Overall, I think everyone will love this historical romance of spicy hockey.
