How Is It Already April? March Reading Recap

This month has been a weird one for me. It started with a slump, so honestly, I just picked up whatever sounded interesting in the moment and stuck with it. So, because of that, I did end up DNF-ing a bunch of books I had read halfway through… So you will notice a lot of purple on my book shirt. I know it’s only been three months, but I have noticed I DNF a bunch of books. I seriously didn’t think I DNF’d that much, so going into this, I didn’t think I would have all that much purple, but it’s made sure it’s there! Haha!

So…. I had a hard reading month. I blame finding my iPod from high school and listening to the music I used to listen to back then… Did I just age myself? Probably, but honestly, it’s not a surprise that I am not a teenager anymore. Plus, I don’t want to be one. The reason  this is a problem is that I don’t just read physical books or ebooks. While I work, I listen to audiobooks. So, a lot of the books I read this month are actually audio. So when I decide to listen to music instead of reading, I definitely don’t finish as many books. I also like listening to books while I crochet and spin my yarn, which is another reason I finish many books. Also, if you didn’t notice, I read a bunch of Nora Quinn’s books. So I got it as one book and didn’t realize they were separate until after the book ended. Each story had its own ending and characters, and I found them interesting enough to keep reading. Sorry, not sorry for my random book choices.
My choice for April is to try to get back to my reading. I also have a couple of advanced reader copies to get done, so most of my TBR is actually books that aren’t out yet or are about to come out. So keep an eye out for the reviews! I will also try to add the dates that they come out next to them so you can get excited. When it comes to these books, I like to write a review and post it after the book comes out, so customers can come in and get the book after reading the review. It’s just something I choose to do. So this is what I have in mind for my April TBR!
Thrall by Rebecca Mahoney- Release date- April 21st (Horror)
Fragile Hopes by Lisina Coney – Release date- April 24th (Romance)
Death Meets Cute by J. Penner – Release date- April 28th (Fantasy Romance)
The Name Game by Beth O’Leary – Release date – April 7th (Women’s Fiction)
I think those four books are enough for this month. I know my goal is to read 10 books, but I have also been liking to randomly pick books, so the last 6 will be random. My book-tracking sweater, which I am now realizing will probably just be a shirt since the holes are a little bigger than I thought, but that’s okay! I kind of love it! I think it’s funny how the colors kind of created sets for each side. I promise I didn’t plan this! I think I am almost ready to start on the body, not just the shoulders/arms. What do you think?
