Meet Local Author Ann Schreiber

Meet Local Author Ann Schreiber at Hearthside Books – June 28, 2025

We’ve got a treat coming to Hearthside Books in Watertown, and we think you’re going to love it.

Local author Ann Schreiber will be stopping by on Saturday, June 28, 2025, for a special book signing event. She’ll be chatting with readers and signing copies of her newly released fiction debut, Emily’s Next Chapter. This story is heartfelt, emotional, and hopeful. It’s all the things you want in a story about starting over, finding love again, and navigating the unexpected turns of life.

But Ann’s writing journey didn’t begin with Emily. In fact, her path to becoming a published author started with real-life heartbreak.

Perseverance Despite Heartbreak

After going through a difficult divorce in 2019, Ann began journaling as a way to process her experience. At the encouragement of family and friends, she eventually turned those pages into a book. That first memoir, Perseverance. Reinvention was self-published in June 2024 and later picked up by Fox Pointe Publishing. It explores personal grief, healing after miscarriage, the stress of parenting through medical crises, and the unpredictability of later-in-life dating. It’s written like a story but also serves as a guide for anyone who needs a bit of a nudge toward healing.

From there, Ann pivoted. Sort of. Her second book, The Top 10 Mistakes I Made My First Year as a Copywriter, shares the real-life lessons she learned while building her own writing business. It’s a little sassy, a lot insightful, and a great read for creatives or entrepreneurs. As the owner of a copywriting business based right here in Minnesota, Ann spends her time helping others shape their brand voices, and she knows a thing or two about trial and error, as well as writing under pressure.

Letting Her Imagination Run Its Course

With her third book, Emily’s Next Chapter, Ann finally let her imagination take the lead. Originally intended to be a story about a stepmom and stepdaughter (Ann herself became a stepmom in 2023), the story evolved into something much deeper. And today, it is a later-in-life love story that celebrates new beginnings, blended families, and the idea that it’s never too late to write a new chapter.

So, whether you’ve read her past work or this will be your first introduction, we hope you’ll stop by to meet Ann in person. She’ll be signing books, answering questions, and sharing the behind-the-scenes of her creative journey.
