Meet Miss Crafty Ness

1. What is your name and business name?

My name is Vanessa, I am
the owner of Miss Crafty Ness. The name came from being crafty
and my nickname “Ness.”
2. How did you get into this medium?

I have always loved coffee in the
morning with a cute cup, it makes your drink taste better! I knew
there had to be more people like me, so I started my business by
making trendy cups. I then wanted to make accessories for these
cups, so I started making mug rug coasters using a punch needle
technique. But I did not stop there, I also sew book sleeves, make
bookmarks, scrunchies and started crocheting flowers!
3. What do you listen to when you are in your creating mood?

Music,
audiobook, or silence? I listen to podcasts like Morbid or catch up
on YouTube videos from other small business owners and artists.
4. What got you into art?

My art and products help relax me, when I
first started my business, I had a lot of anxiety. Sewing, punch
needle, crochet etc. helped keep my mind off things.
5. What made you want to sell your art?

My husband encouraged me
to get my products out there, he has been my #1 supporter through
this entire journey. I am so thankful for him!
6. What do you want people to know about your art?

I want people to
know that each product that they receive is a little piece of me!

Yes, I read when I have time. My husband is the
big reader with bookshelves full of books!

No, I just pick up whatever looks
fun to read!
