Meet The Artist Behind Northern Luna Crafts!
1. What is your name and business name?
My name is Christine Myers and I am Northern Luna Crafts

2. How did you get into this medium?
I learned how to crochet 18 years ago when I was on a DNR burn crew. I lived in a small town and didn’t know anyone. I was walking around town and there was a lady sitting outside her shop and she asked me if I wanted to learn how to crochet. I said sure. She gave me a ball of yarn and a hook. I practiced over and over with that ball of yarn. Whenever I was back in town I would stop in to show her. I found crochet to be very relaxing.
3. What do you listen to when you are in your creating mood? Music,
audiobook, or silence?
audiobook, or silence?
I mostly listen to a show on TV or music.
4. What got you into art?
I have always liked being creative. It was the perfect outlet for me when work was stressful.
5. What made you want to sell your art?
I started making custom items for family and friends. As my girls got more independent I had more time to crochet, which was about the time the bookstore was opening so I started making them animals to sell at the store.
6. What do you want people to know about your art?
Many of the animals I make are chosen by my two girls. They will tell me that I should make certain animals because kids would love to snuggle with them. They often give the animals hugs before I bring them to the bookstore.
