She Doesn’t Have A Clue… Does Char?

Romance and mystery? Who knew that those two things could go together? I know I didn’t, but surprisingly, they got together like mac and cheese. This is what ‘She Doesn’t Have A Clue,’ by Jenny Elder Moke, has: mystery, romance, and humor.

Kate did something stupid. She agreed to go to her ex-fiancee’s wedding. That is exactly how she ends up on a private island going to a high-end wedding. Not only that, but she runs into her ex-friend, who is incredibly attractive. How can this nightmare get worse? Well, when Kate is blamed for poisoning the bride, everything goes from bad to worse. Kate also needs to finish the next draft of her book, but could that hinder her from solving the attempted murder? Jake and Kate must solve the mystery before she loses everything.

I ate this book up. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I was enjoying it so much. I did find Kate annoying, but with a mix of all the other characters, I really enjoyed it. I was surprised at how well this book made me guess repeatedly, and in the end, I was nowhere near the actual murder. Also, Kate’s ex-fiance is the worst!!! I am so glad that Jake is my romantic interest. However, I found it annoying how much Kate pushed him away and pulled him back in. It really made me feel so bad for his character. The writing was so engaging and fun to read that anyone who loves both genres could find something to like about this book.
